Messages to the Marx Family

In Loving Remembrance of Frank
I'll lend to you a little while, a child of mine Christ said
For
you to love the while he lives and to mourn for when he's dead.
It
may be six or seven years or twenty two or three,
But will you till
I call him back, take care of him for me?
He'll bring you
charms to gladden you, and shall his stay be brief,
You'll have his
lovely memorials for solace in your grief.
I cannot promise he will
stay, since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught
down there I want this child to learn.
I have looked the
whole world over, in search of teachers true,
and from the throngs
that crowd life's lane, I have chosen you.
Now, will you give him
all your love, nor think the labor vain,
Nor hate me when I come to
take him back again?
I fancied that I heard them say,
"Dear Lord thy will be done.
For all the joy thy child shall
bring, the risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter him with
tenderness, we'll love him while we may
and for all the happiness
we've known, forever grateful stay."
But should the
angels call for him much sooner than we planned,
We'll brave the
bitter grief that comes and try to understand.

Death is nothing at all - I have only slipped away into the next room. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effort. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was; there is absolutely unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near just around the corner. All is well. Nothing has passed; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before - only better, infinitely happier and forever - we will all be one together with Christ. |

| Message: | Frank & Maureen, This website is a wonderful way to honor Frank and his exceptional life. It is abundantly clear that Frank had a profound impact on so many and this site does an exceptional job of capturing that fact. We at Holy Ghost Prep are a stronger community and family for having the privilege to call Frankie our friend and alumnus. Your son's memory lives on at HGP through the scholarship that your family and friends have set up. Each year another bright and driven Holy Ghost Prep student benefits from those who choose to honor Frank and support the Francis J. Marx V Memorial Scholarship. Thank you again for this website! Sincerely, Bruce Marro (HGP '92) |

| Message: | My Dear Marx Family: I had the honor and privilege of sharing dinner with y'all (sic) in an old U.S. Air Force hanger under the shadow of a retired fighter jet in Fairhope, Alabama a few years back. What a beautiful family. What a beautiful website to honor your son and brother. With all the love in my heart I pray that God continues to bless this effort and I look forward to watching something wonderful unfold. Your friend always, Peter |

| Message: | This website is a much a tribute to you, Frankie, as your family is to the rest of the world. It is more than evident that your family and friends have been richly rewarded by having you a part of their lives. Although you and I never met, I am very proud to know your Dad, Mom, sisters and brother. I am also very proud to be a Fairfield alumnus, but even prouder of the fact that young men like you chose Fairfield to complete your studies. God Bless you and your wonderful friends and family. |

| Message: | Frank, Maureen and family. I have known you Frank for 20 or more years through PCA, NAIIA and PAIIA meetings and conventions. Years ago I would tell people we were friendly competetors. Its been many years since I used that term because you are a friend. You have always been positive, kind and an inspiration during our time together. Barb and I always have a wonderful time with you and Maureen and I'll always remember when we 4 semi-pro golfers were together in Bermuda. Frankie is like you in many ways(but much better looking). I am thankful you gave me the opportunity to meet Frankie and I am looking forward to spending many more years with you and your family. Thanks for the time with your family in the past and in the future. Bruce |

| Message: | As your advocate, and upon receiving this website, I will inform others throughout the state both verbally and written. I took necessary time to best reply with the most sincere and empathetic words I could find. Working with your family the past two years, I have been inspired by the strength, perserverence, and compassion you demonstrate to others. I feel your family deserves a tremendous amount of credit for this. I think all could learn so much about what is most important within a family dyanmics through the example you set. The communication, love, and support among your family members is reflected in how you treat others. To all the Marx family,I am truly sorry for the loss of Frankie. He offered so much to others in his short time on this earth and had so much more to offer society. It is a tragic loss for all. Harriet Beatrice Snow once wrote, "The most bitter of tears wept at any grave are from words unspoken and deeds not done". The love , understanding, and communication between your family, as well as interaction with others ,demonstrate, Frankie came into this world and left to a better place as loved as his first day here. I will keep you all in my prayers. Respectfully, Carolyn Medeiros, Rhode Island Victim Advocacy, ( RIVASC ) |

| Message: | "Frankie" was born on the Feast of the Queenship of Mary, August 22nd. Just as Mary gave her "Fiat" to God, so did your son give his "yes" to God every day of his life. The inspiring notes from so many of Frankie's family and friends reflect the legacy that Frank left. The witness of Faith he lived has made everyone who knew him a better person. The old Baltimore Catechism's answer to why did God make me was, "God made me to know Him, to love Him and to serve Him in this world so that I will be happy with Him forever in the next." Frank knew, loved and served God in this world so he is now forever happy with Him in Heaven!! Frank's life is an exhortation to all of us to know, love and serve God in this world so we will be happy forever with Him in the next------- |

| Message: | Dearest Marx Family, There is no doubt in my mind that Frank was an angel unaware living on earth. He came to help others grow spiritually closer to the Lord--and he has succeeded in his very important mission on earth. God called Frank Home because He did not want to deny Frank his awesome rewards in Heaven for one minute more! Please remember our loved ones continue to see and hear us and try to help us in our lives and will try to show us this. Families are very precious to the Lord and that is why He smiles favorably on their many visits to us from Heaven. May you feel God's comforting arms wrapped around all of you. Your website is beautiful!!! Frank must be soooo thrilled and honored! Lovingly, In Christ's Love, Christine Duminiak |

| Message: | Dear Maureen, Frank, Lauren, Katelyn and Patrick: What a beautiful tribute to a remarkable young man. No doubt, Frankie is looking down on all of you beaming. My son Larry and I had the priviledge of meeting you at the Honor's Convocation at Holy Ghost Prep in May of this year. In the short time we spent with all of you, we walked away feeling as if you had all been a part of our life from the beginning. To say it is an honor for Larry to be the recipient of the Francis J. Marx V Scholarship would be an understatement. Though we did not personally know Frankie, through this website you have given us a vision of a beautiful, gifted, loving individual who had an amazing impact on so many others during his lifetime. If we can leave you with one thought, it would be this. Even though Frankie's life was cut far too short, some people never experience in a lifetime the wonderful times that you shared with your son. Memories cannot be bought as we all know. They are priceless treasures that only those who share in them can hold within their hearts forever. We know Frankie is holding them close to his heart, as you are . . . until you meet again. God bless and love all of you. You are an amazing family. We feel so blessed to know you and to be a part of Frankie's memory. The Stickley Family |
